Security on high alert as the most powerful men in Europe arrive in Brussels

They were here to choose the new European Commission president.

And with 26-2 in favour for Jean Claude Juncker, it was a resounding victory for the former Luxembourg prime minister.

British Prime Minister, David Cameron was vocally opposed to Juncker's nomination.

He sees Juncker is a figure uninterested in EU reform.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, DAVID CAMERON, SAYING:

"In a Europe crying out for reform, we have gone for the career insider, you know, who probably knows every furrow of this building but anyway, we now have to get on with it, but was it the right thing to do, to make this stand? I absolutely believe it was and I would do it all over again."

Despite Cameron finding himself in the minority, there was no gloating from other leaders.

They're promising to address his concerns about the future of the EU.

We reach the apex of a hill, Russian Hills and we are immediately struck by the beauty of what appears down there, down to the "descent": the extraordinary San Francisco Bay with its blue sea and the island of Alcatraz which stands out sharply on background. We observe the houses with external emergency stairs always seen in the movies, and now actually.
Here we are in Lombard Street. Lombard Street is certainly the most famous street in San Francisco, you will have definitely seen in dozens of films and TV series. Russian Hill is its most characteristic feature that sees the alternation of a series of hairpin bends made in the '20s at the request of local residents, tired of seeing people coming down the hill at breakneck speed and perhaps under the influence of alcohol. The solution was precisely to create eight hairpin turns that slowed down the traffic, so they decided to make it more interesting paving with red bricks and embellishing with various flower beds.
We head to North Beach
The North Beach district of San Francisco's Little Italy.
The heart of this historic neighborhood is the Washington Square Park.
The green park is surrounded by cafes, cafes and shops, and to the north the Church of Saints Peter and Paul that is the place of the congregation of the Italian community.
Another symbol of North Beach is the Coit Tower.
A Telegraph Hill Boulevard, stands the famous Coit Tower, a white tower in Art Deco style built in honor of San Francisco firefighters.
From here, the view is really nice but you have to look for the few open spaces left by the thick vegetation. It will not be difficult to see in the distance the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.
From Coit Tower we head to Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf
Near the Pier 39 you can see the Sea Lions "beached" on moorage of yacht.
These funny animals spend their days resting in the sun, making quite a fuss and now and then, fighting to grab a place to sleep.
However, Pier 39 is the area of focus. It is a rebuilt pier and looks like one of the most commercial areas and crowded throughout San Francisco.
The peculiarity of the Pier 39 is right in the kind of shops that can be found there, ideal to buy a souvenir of your vacation, or simply to get a laugh ...
Among Magnets shops: an entire store dedicated to the magnets. America should be it!
The Left Hand Store: a store where you can find only objects left-handed
Sock's Market: an entire reselling dedicated to one of the greatest inventions in human history: the sock
Alcatraz: the gift shop Alcatraz, perhaps a bit 'sad, but indicative of the ability of Americans to do business

Oh didn't stop there with breaking barriers. She also became the first Asian woman

This graduate and advanced undergraduate textbook systematically addresses all core topics in physical and engineering acoustics. Written by a well-known textbook author with 39 years of experience performing research, teaching, and mentoring in the field, it is specially designed to provide maximum support for learning. Presentation begins from a foundation that does not assume prior study of acoustics and advanced mathematics. Derivations are rigorous, thoroughly explained, and often innovative. Important concepts are discussed for their physical implications and their implementation. Many of the examples are mini case studies that address systems students will find to be interesting and motivating for continued study. Step-by-step explanations accompany example solutions. They address both the significance of the example and the strategy for approaching it. Wherever techniques arise that might be unfamiliar to the reader, they are explained in full. Volume I contains 186 homework exercises, accompanied by a detailed solutions manual for instructors. This text, along with its companion, Volume II: Applications, provides a knowledge base that will enable the reader to begin undertaking research and to work in core areas of acoustics.

The killing of 39 people at a beach hotel in Tunisia could spell disaster for the country’s already struggling economy.

Tunisia’s tourism minister has described the attack in Sousse, claimed by the self-proclaimed Islamic State group, as a “catastrophe.”

Authorities have vowed to tighten security, but that may not be enough to bring back the crowds of foreign holidaymakers anytime soon.

“The tourism sector in Tunisia has been killed, it’s dead now. Our economy is very bad, how we are going to live?” asked one Tunisian in Sousse.

“We depend on the tourists, there are around four thousand people from Sousse working in this sector.”

Tunisia’s tourism industry was already reeling from the Bardo museum massacre in Tunis, which happened earlier this year. Gunmen killed 21 foreign visitors.

Euronews reporter Mohammed Shaikhibrahim, who is in Sousse, said: “This area is known as a jewel of the Tunisian coast. It’s a favourite with tourists. But now the visitors have gone. All th
