"The Imitation Game," a biopic about a British mathematician and World War Two code-breaker, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, opened the BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday (October 8).
In the movie, Cumberbatch plays a brilliant mathematician who breaks the Germans' Enigma code, helping to bring the war to an end.

Doctor Strange, one of Marvel Comics' oldest characters and a member of the New Avengers, is heading to the big screen. Although the movie about the neurosurgeon who turns to magic after a life-changing car crash was announced in May 2013, it was only on December 4 that they announced its star - Benedict Cumberbatch.
The 'Sherlock' star stepped out for the first time since the announcement at the Moet British Independent Film Awards, where he picked up the honorary Variety Award, and talked about being announced as the sorcerer supreme.

The 42-year-old actor will reportedly see his pay increased by $6.4 million more than he received for the original Marvel Cinematic Universe movie in 2016 for the upcoming sequel, which is set to start filming next spring and is expected to take up to six months to complete.
And his commitment to the franchise means his work on popular drama series 'Sherlock' could be delayed indefinitely.
The British actor has already made $5.4 million for playing Doctor Strange in the first standalone movie, 'Thor: Ragnarok' and two 'Avengers' films.

Benedict Cumberbatch to Refuse Future Roles if Women Don't Get Equal Pay Cumberbatch recently told ‘Radio Times’ he would not accept any roles if his female co-star would not receive the same pay. “Look at your quotas. Ask what women are being paid, and say: ‘If she’s not paid the same as the men, I’m not doing it.’” The ‘Avengers’ actor also talked about giving women more spotlight in film with his production company, SunnyMarch, which he runs with Adam Ackland. “If it’s centered around my name, to get investors, then we can use that attention for a raft of female projects.” Many male actors have spoken out about pay inequalities in the film industry, including Michael B.
